Photomedicine
holds a doctorate in chemistry, is a naturopath and lecturer. She studied chemistry at the University of Kaiserslautern. After obtaining her doctorate in March 1995, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 17 years. Initially at a medium-sized company that manufactures and sells herbal medicines. It was here that she developed an interest in naturopathy and the profession of alternative practitioner. After 4 years, she moved to a well-known global pharmaceutical company in the dermatology division, specializing in the treatment of eczema, skin fungus, allergies, neurodermatitis and psoriasis. After 4 years, she switched to the field of medical aesthetics. At the same time, she trained as a non-medical practitioner with a state examination in 2011.
In 2012, she founded the practice "vitalM.E.D - Praxis für Gesundheit und Ästhetik" in Kronberg (has since moved to Eschborn), resigned from her job in pharmacy and has been working as a lecturer at 2 alternative practitioner schools since 2011.

Primarily influenced by the natural sciences, naturopathy gives her a new, highly exciting perspective on life, the body, its mind and soul and the interaction between people. For her, studying chemistry and training in naturopathy are by no means contradictory approaches. They complement each other perfectly. After all, all metabolic processes in our cells are based on chemical processes. And so she brings her scientific analytical thinking to the consultation/treatment of her patients. She combines scientific expertise with traditional naturopathic therapies.
Lecturer activities
Dr. rer. nat. Michaela Detzel is a lecturer at the Heilpraktikerschule Dr. Jung, Kronberg and the Schule naturopath in Seeheim-Jugenheim. She is a lecturer for the Allergosan Institute (intestinal sanitation & microbiome).
She trains doctors and alternative practitioners in these methods on behalf of well-known companies that offer products for wrinkle treatment and acts as a medical consultant.
She has been a COLLL lecturer in dermatology, aesthetics and cosmetics since 2020. Memberships: Professional association of German alternative practitioners e.V. Network of alternative practitioners for aesthetic medicine (NHAeM) COLLL (College for Laser-Phototherapy)
